My wife and I have two of Voci pieces ( one a still life and one called Madonna )that we had commissioned in Germany while I was stationed at Bitburg AB 1965-1969. We love the pieces and remember going to his house to discuss what my wife desired. Do you have an idea how the value the pieces in today's market ? John Barnhart

I have a large original Diego painting which I purchased in Germany in the 1969-1970 time frame. Like others writing to this site, I treasure this painting along with original paintings I purchased from British Landscape artist David Green and from Louis van der Beesen in the 1971 through 1974 time frame. I am hopeful that one of our three children will appreciate this art when I am gone.

We have about 10 of Diego's works and treasure them. In fact, we still have the receipts for most all. We visited him in his home and he has joined us for a bottle of wine at ours in Stuttgart in the mid-70s. Christine Khan, who displayed his works in her Wiesbaden studio, joined us maybe a half dozen times, too. We have a folder of his promotional materials and ads from various handouts as well as newspaper articles about him. His house had a dozen or more New Mexico magazines scattered about and, as we had moved from New Mexico to Stuttgart, we talked of his time there and how we loved his realistic pastels of Indians that we bought. We are glad that you have taken the initiative to honor his works on this site.
