Chris and family, thank you for your passion for the arts and for the hard work of preservation and education. Chris, I always knew you possessed a distinctive character, but didn't know you well or long enough to discover a portion of it until now. This is great work and keep it up!

I recently purchased 3 Diego Paintings from a family that had lived in Germany during the time Diego was painting in Europe. I am not sure what year he painted these pieces. I had no idea who he was when I looked at, loved and purchased two of the paintings. Its one of those things - you know beautifully done art when you see it. I then purchased one more a couple of weeks later. I am pleased to learn more about this amazingly talented artist, and pleased that there is some work being done to catalogue his work and helpfully preserve it. I would love to see some of his sculpture pieces. I hope some have been preserved.

I have a signed Diego painting which must be from 1968 as it is the same fishing village scene as the one second down on the left. Mine appears to be religious as there are 3 fishing boats in the foreground and the masts look like the crucifixion. Also there are the 5 women in the foreground that could represent the 5 at the crucifixion of Christ. The water is heavily textured.

I too have a Diego painting that I treasure and so happy to have found this site..and that you are trying to document his collection. I am happy to have my painting in the collection and if you want to borrow it for an exhibition, happy to lend it to you. I too bought my painting from Christine Khan in Wiesbaden and I have enjoyed it for all these years. It now hangs in my home in San Francisco. On another note...reading the email above rom Joey Walters, I too have a S LeGrec painting that I also bought from the Naffouj Gallery in Landsthul and I too would love to know more about the artist. Many thanks for your help Freddi Wilkinson

Good morning... I am emailing you from San Francisco California and I am the owner of a Diego painting. I bought it from an art gallery in Wiesbaden Germany in 1980 and I still have all the original documentation and my original invoice. I was living and working in Germany at the time. I have always loved this painting and tonight got on the Internet to see if I could learn more about Diego and found your website. You mentioned in your website that you're trying to document his collection and I would be happy to have my painting in your documentation and collection.. I have no intention of selling my painting, however I'd be curious to know what it is worth at present they value. The picture of the painting and this brochure were taken just with my iPhone so not the greatest picture of the painting, however I can always take a picture with my good Nikon camera and send to you if you would like me to... Along with the measurements. Please can you get back with me at your earliest convenience and if you would ever like to talk on the phone my name and contact details are below. Kind regards Freddi IMG_4883.JPG IMG_4886.JPG IMG_4887.JPG Sent from my iPhone Freddi Wilkinson +1 415 480 9414
